shirebound, I've been sending out all my best thoughts to you and Shiredad. I hope he is faring well with his injury. Sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery!

It hit me tonight that I had never posted a picture of the inside lobby of Mom's new apartment building. They call this room the Grand Hall. I love this room. It looks so opulent, like only the really rich should be able to afford to live there. But, with some careful retirement planning, anyone could make it their home.



To the immediate left are the business offices and to the right is the library and a small chapel. The doorway you see on the left is to the television room where, on Saturday nights, they show movies on a giant screen TV. The black column behind the piano is the glass elevator. To the left of the elevator, hidden from view, is the dining room where everyone gathers for meals if they don't feel like cooking for themselves. Mom's apartment is a bit farther down that same hall. To the right is the beauty salon, the fitness room, the mail room, a tiny convenience store, and the assisted living wing.

I want to live here someday...
