Donny & Marie and a Brand New Mouse!
Sep. 12th, 2018 08:10 pmA week ago Tuesday I got back from my trip to Las Vegas with Sister. It was a whirlwind of excitement and activity!
Actually, the best part for me was on Friday when we went to the Donny & Marie Show and I got to meet them both. It was the greatest (and the scariest) moment of my life. Well, if you don't count my wedding and the birth of my daughter. LOL Oh, and
shirebound: Marie did sing some of "Meet Me in Montana" as part of a medley of her greatest hits. 😁
We were allowed to have Donny & Marie each autograph one item. Since Sister was with me, I got two items autographed. That's not cheating, is it? Anyway, I had both of them sign the cover of my VHS copy of "Goin' Coconuts," their much maligned movie from 1979. Donny actually told me he wished he could forget it ever happened. Still, I love it and will cherish it forever.

Sister had him sign my copy of "What I Meant to Say," which he released in 2005. There have been several other albums since this one, but Hubby took me to Oklahoma City to see Donny in concert when he was touring to promote it, so it has special meaning for me.

And, yes, I did get my picture taken with Donny and with Marie, but I'm not going to post those. Some things are just meant to be private.
In other news: I got a new mouse. It's one of those newfangled vertical ones. I'm hoping it will help keep my hand from going numb when I spend a lot of time on the computer. It still feels a bit clumsy, but that's only because I'm not quite used to holding it yet.

How cool is that?
