Ouch!

This tough old bird is my mama. Mom took a tumble on the curb as she was finishing up an evening walk. She banged up her knee and broke her arm just below the shoulder. Took this picture last night while we were in the ER, waiting on discharge papers. Looks pretty good for a 91 year-old dynamo, doesn't she?

We have to make an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon this morning. Here's hoping she won't need surgery for the break to properly heal.

Thank you. We finally see the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon. Hopefully a cast or other immobilization method, instead of surgery, will send her on her way to recovery.
