Stranger Things

Well, we took the plunge and started watching "Stranger Things" on Netflix last week. I don't usually go in for this type of show, but we wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Let me tell you, it's addicting! Hubby, who dislikes binge watching, was hard pressed to watch only one episode per night. So far we've only watched the first season, but I am pretty sure we'll continue on with the second season starting tomorrow.

I really don't know how to describe the show without spoiling it for anyone who hasn't watched. All I can say is, if you liked "Eerie, Indiana" or early episodes of "The X-Files" or maybe "Twin Peaks," then you should definitely check out "Stranger Things. Heck, even if you don't like those other shows, "Stranger Things" is still worth a look. I'd love to hear everyone's opinions.

I like to think of Stranger Things as The Goonies meets XFiles. Second season was good but that first season was just so mesmerizing. And how do they have a show with so many different characters and yet find a way to make them all layered and compelling? It’s gotta be both great writing and grea casting.
