Going Under the Knife

I was planning on keeping this a secret from everyone except a select few, but I heard Hubby telling my sister-in-law all about it on the phone this morning so soon the whole world will know. 😒 One week from Tuesday, April 17th, I'm having gastric sleeve surgery. I've been thinking about doing this for several years and have decided now is the time. The arthritis in my knees, coupled with the neuropathy in my extremities has made standing and walking very difficult. I think getting some of the weight off will help me avoid knee replacement surgery in the near term. This is a minimally invasive procedure and, barring complications, I should only be in the hospital overnight. I'll post updates here to let everyone know how it's going.
