The Letter Meme

Cats: I love animals. But I especially love cats. I’ve had cats in my home since I became an adult (and that’s a long time!). Cats are aloof and stubborn and devious and creatures of habit. Cats are soft and calming and loving and my life has been richer for having them in it.
Car: Living in Texas, it’s important to own a car. Wide open spaces and long distances make it essential.
Computer: It goes without saying that I wouldn’t be making this list without my computer. And I’ve met many wonderful people through the power of social media. But, computers have done so much more for my life. Because of my limited mobility, shopping for the things we need online has made my life much easier. Computers have provided secure employment and a comfortable living for our family, too. Hubby has worked for Texas Instruments in one capacity or another for over 30 years. While we are by no means rich, we are comfortable and will be able to retire when the time comes without worrying how we will make ends meet. All because of computers.
Cruise: We went on our first, and probably only, cruise last year! We discovered we aren’t really cruise people, but it was great fun and I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.
Cobbler: Peach cobbler. My favorite dessert of all time!
Cooking: I enjoy cooking. It’s relaxing. It’s also rewarding to watch the people I care about enjoying the food I’ve prepared.
Calendar: I would be lost without my Google calendar! Like any “soccer mom” my life can get crazy sometimes. I love being able to carry my calendar in my pocket so I can refer to it anytime, day or night.
Country: Specifically the United States of America. There are several “C” words about our country and I will lump them all here. Constitution – The constitution outlines our freedoms, rights, and responsibilities. We should remember what it says and respect what it stands for. Capitalism – we have the greatest free markets in the world. Congress – it gives me great comfort to see the arguing and back & forth going on in Washington. It reminds us the system is actually working. If everything was running smoothly, we would be living in an oligarchy and no one wants that!
Contractor: We’ve been doing a lot of needed repairs and updates to our house lately. I’m so thankful we found a contractor who is honest, hardworking, and does a great job at an affordable price.
Courage: When I hear the word courage I think of policemen, firefighters, members of the military… anyone who rushes into danger or difficulty to protect the rights and property of others. They are the true heroes of this world and should be given the highest honors, praise, and rewards we have to give.
